A second fiber laser cutter went live this month, roughly doubling sheet capacity and cutting lead times on build-to-print work.

The new machine sits alongside the existing laser on the main floor and runs the same programs, so jobs can move between them without reprogramming.

Capacity is up roughly double on sheet work, and typical lead times on repeat parts drop from three weeks to under two.

What changes for customers

Shorter lead times on repeat sheet metal work

More capacity for short-notice orders

No change to tolerances or finish options

Quality unchanged

All work continues under the same AS9100D quality system. See our certifications page for detail.

Perry Johnson Registrars has certified the Duravex quality management system to AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015, covering the design, manufacture and assembly of components and assemblies.

Duravex LLC has been certified to AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 by Perry Johnson Registrars,
Inc. The certificate covers the design, manufacture and assembly of components and assemblies at
the company's Louisa, Virginia plant.

AS9100D is the aerospace industry's quality management standard, built on ISO 9001 and adding
requirements for risk management, configuration control and product safety. The assessment was
performed in accordance with AS9104/1:2012-01; PJR is accredited under the ICOP scheme.

What it means for customers

The standard requires the same inspection discipline across every part that leaves the building,
not only aerospace work:

100% material traceability

Mandatory First Article Inspections

A zero-defect production standard

Certificate C2026-01367 was issued 27 February 2026 and runs through 26 February 2029.

Industrial control panels certified for the US and Canada

UL has certified Duravex industrial control panels to UL 508A for the United States and to CSA C22.2 No. 14 for Canada, opening the line to customers on both sides of the border.

<!--
DRAFT — facts verified against resources/02_UL_Certificate_of_Compliance_E547934_20250625.pdf.
The prose is not approved copy. See docs/page-patterns.md.

NOTE: does not use the UL Mark. That certificate explicitly does not grant
authorization to apply the mark — see docs/certifications.md before adding
 any UL artwork here.

Duravex industrial control panels have been certified by UL to UL 508A, 3rd Edition for the
United States and to CSA C22.2 No. 14, Edition 13 for Canada.

The two certificates share a single report reference, E547934-20250625, and both were issued on
25 June 2025:

UL-US-2572699-0 — NITW, Industrial Control Panels

UL-CA-2553481-0 — NITW7, Industrial Control Panels Certified for Canada

Why the Canadian listing matters

A panel built for a US customer does not automatically satisfy Canadian requirements. Holding both
certifications means the same panel line can ship to either market without a separate evaluation,
which matters for OEMs selling into both.

Panels are built in the same Louisa, Virginia plant, under the same quality management system as
the rest of the shop.
